Ruger Stainless MK 2 260 Report

Bought one from Gunmart in Brockville a while ago. Nice clean looking rig, good lines and the safety interrupts the firing pin on full safe, and you can load and unload with the safety on. Gun shoots 1/2 a minute with factory remington loads(120 gr. BT) and 1/4 minute with 100gr. Ballistic tips and VV N540. Rings are a bit dear and the trigger is quite heavy but overall an accurate and good looking rilfe. I would buy another. Came with rings but I needed high rings.

Try H4350 and 125 gr partitions. Both the 260's I have had loved that powder, I think I was shooting 45 gr for just under 2900 fps in a 22 inch barrel.

try 42-43 grains of H4350 and a 130 TSX, does 2840 fps out of my 23" custom 260, kills deer like a mother fcuker

should do around 2600 fps'ish out of your short tube, but still work well inside 300 yards

You know, if I was getting 1/4MOA groups out of one of my rifles, I wouldn't mess with the load for love nor money...

I've been thinking I want a Ruger .338.....

Wow,...if I had a factory Ruger that shot 1/4" groups I'd be on the phone to Ruger right now...they'd probably want to buy it back for a premium and use it for "pep talks" with the factory workers...

Hey.....I shot my mini-14 Ranch for the first time yesterday, and the first group I shot (to zero the scope) was a cloverleaf...all three holes overlapped eachother!


of course, I was only at about 30 feet.
