This is my Ruger Standard 1973.

I know Mark 1 grips would fit on it. The problem, I can't find wooden or rubber grips to go on it. Anyone know where I could find some grips? Could Mark II grips fit on it?

Help would be highly appreciated,
Thanks!:)

brownells or numrich. they may not be able to ship though. i finally found a set at one of the big name US distributors, but they couldn't export them!

1971 and newer are "A100" frame pistols. pre A100 grips will not interchange.

it's difficult to find grip panels for these older panels. i have a MKI target with RH target grips and i cannot find any replacements.

my plan is to make a set.

extended mag release and allen head grip screws for a MK II will fit, and made a nice difference for mine, especially the extended mag release!

also that's a 9 round mag i'm guessing? 10 round MK II mags will interchange.

Been a while since i tried to get anything out of the states but for just grips, you might at least try brownells.
Aside from that http://www.hoguestore.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=114 the Handall is decent compromise for a wrap around rubber grip.
I got bored and hacked a set out of a piece of scrap wood. The rugers are quite easy to do and it's a great way to kill a couple winter hours. Worst case, a piece of old bike innertube works pretty well. Wont win any fashion awards but still a classic solution.

Found a rubber grips for the Ruger Standard with A-100 frame, the Pachmayr RST-22:D

I asked a friend to buy it online for me in the US, and to ship it to my place...Weeeeeee :D
