Hi there,

I've been looking everywhere but can't seem to find a source for replacement grip frames for a Ruger Super Blackhawk. What I'd like to find is a stainless Super Blackhawk Hunter grip frame along with the factory black laminated grips. The standard grip frame that came with the gun is a bit small for me.

Any ideas where one can be found?

Much appreciated!

Well there you go! When I searched Brownells by manufacturer nothing came up. I'll have to work on that.

But...I'll have to call them about shipping to Canada. I would be surprised if it can come up north without all the export paperwork.

I wonder if Western Gun Parts would have one? Never thought of them; I'll try calling tomorrow.

The hunter grip is the same size that comes on the guns with a 7.5 in barrel with the exception that the hunter grip has a rounded trigger guard instead of the dragoon or square guard. The extra length is just enough to for my little finger to grip the pistol. I'll look to see if I can find out exactly what the difference is.

Same grip frame size! The only difference is the round vs. square trigger guard. The grips will interchange....

Then the shorter barreled SBH's have the origonal vaquero/blackhawk grip frame size.
Their grips too interchange...

Beaver and Ruffbird are correct they are the same length as the Dragoon style squared grip frame's but they are round. For some reason the Hunter model is the only one Ruger deems worthy of this option?

It's my favorite grip frame.
