What is one worth in pretty good shape?

Few mild scuffs, no deep dents.

Most of the good condition tang safety Ruger 77's seem to go for $600-$650 regardless of calibre from what I have seen. I bought a good/VG one in .338 Win Mag for $650 in summer 2010.

I'm going to suggest a bit less than mmattockx.

They seem to go $500 - $600, with the $600 rifles being near mint and with sights.

I would say 5-6 hundred. On the ee? 1,000.

I paid $450 for one in .308 with no dents or scratches, and very minor blueing wear. Mine had rings included.

I think I probably got a pretty good deal on it.

well for gawds sake, its just another ruger . even before they tried unsuccessully, to emmulate the model 70 wing safety, they really werent all that much of a rifle.
