Ruger to Weaver Adpater

If using a Ruger to Weaver adapter like this is there any special consideration needed for ring selection ?

Specifically, does the adapter add any extra height to an installation, if I was going to use medium rings, should I now use low or still use medium ?

I can't help you with precise measurements but I'd have to say that the adapter will raise your optics using the same rings.

In my experience it is better not to use this adapter. I have one and it's for sale. I wasn't able to keep the rings on axis with the barrel.

It was very frusterating trying to keep each ring on axis and I just gave up.
I just invested in some good leupold rings that fit the ruger base.

They will add height to your set up.

Burris Sig ZEE rings w/inserts will handle any scope alignment issues if there are any.
