What would be honest value of one of a kind stainless old Vaquero, full size, 45 Colt, 5.5” barrel?
I am in process of getting stainless SBH (44 Magnum) with 5.5” barrel, and will have swapped grip, hammer and trigger from stainless Bisley Vaquero (old model, full size), 45 Colt, 5.5” barrel.
When swapping is done, I will have Bisley SBH I always wanted, and standard Vaquero with wide hammer from SBH, that will be for sale. When everything id done, Vaquero will look like this:
The grips will be standard wooden one, as they come with SBH.
Vaquero is LNIB, less than box of Remington ammo fired, no box and papers. The work will be done by George Wortner, one of few best, if not the best smith in Canada. Hopefully, George will finish within month, month and a half.
No action job will be done on Vaquero, however, if somebody wants to buy it, and would like to have action job done, it could be arranged while gun is still at the shop. Also, George told me that he might have somewhere original hammer, same as on BH. (NOTE: 5.5" SBH has a small grip frame, same as BH and old Vaquero)
I would appreciate your input. Thanks.
