Ruger warranty centre

Had a mag replaced on my American pretty quickly and painlessly. I believe the Centre in QC...but don't quote me on that.

It is called Snap Shot inc.

My friend had a lot of problems dealing with them and the service was sub-par. Ruger was not much help either, after many months of sending the gun back to them, even sending a new replacement with the same problem they ended up buying the gun back. He now owns a S&W.

I never heard anything good about our Canada warranty centre I've had poor customer service from them to say the least

I won't deal with them ever again. Would rather pay a real gunsmith out of my own pocket... They are painfully slow, don't give a crap about their warranty/gunsmithing business (more concerned with their movie props crap), and their communications is atrocious or non-existent. Even trying to get simple replacement parts proved to be too much for them to handle and impossible. I wrote the Ruger CEO a letter about the Canadian Warranty place and then the Canadian Warranty place sent me a nasty e-mail basically saying "they knew it was me who filed a complaint against them and so on" clearly had an attitude and out of joint about it. Was good that the Ruger CEO had actually done something with the letter but unfortunately it didn't really accomplish anything...

Still missing a part for my Ruger M77 rifle 3 years later now, luckily not a critical one...

Its so strange how some people have have big problems with them and others not at all....I went there in person for some rings and they seemed very organized, professional and courteous. The owner is an accomplished gunsmith and shooter so it suprises me to hear about any bad service.

I needed a new barrel on my S&W under warranty. It took close to a year, but it was ITAR and S&W that were at fault for the delay. Snapshots were courteous and professional, kept me informed, and returned my revolver promptly after the parts arrived.

I complained to Ruger head office and they told me they get a lot of complaints about our warranty center, that was couple years ago

My SR9 has the striker indicator literally just fall out. Sent it in to Snap Shots all the way from Alberta and got it back, no questions asked, reasonably quickly.

Maybe things have changed but my experience last year was pretty solid.

Even a broken clock is correct twice a day..... if Snapper Head never got it right I think Ruger, Rossi and the rest would eventually drop them.
From my several dealings over the years they are not good communicators and have a poor attitude when things are not easy for them.

The cockknuckle I bought my 10/22 from (CGN member but can't remember the name) had either ground down the rear of the bolt or bought it and found it to be a lemon and flipped it on the EE. Regardless, I sent the rifle in to Snap shots and, several hundred dollars later, it was back up and functioning as it should.

If you sold me that 10/22 and happen to read this, go #### your mother.

I haven't heard about Rugers warranty centre in a couple of years. How is the service these days ?

I haven't heard it either for a reason....
Unlike other brands nothing ever goes wrong with Rugers.
They have very good QC and every one of their products is overbuild.
....and now you know, I am a Ruger fan!
