Rumor concerning Green Dot

Depends where Alliant gets that powder made, a lot of their powder is European made, and you know the story on what's going on over there, along with refilling NATO stocks.

They may not be using shotgun powder, but the production lines are used to make various powders. Instead of making shotgun powder, they’re making the powder needed to fill orders for rifle powder or others, so less shotgun powder is being made.

I have bought Alliant powder at Prairie gun traders fairly recently. The last time I was there they had pretty good stock for the times. I have seen IMR Green around at a few places. I'm not sure how well it compares to Green Dot.

The discontinued IMR colour powders were designed to be equivalent by volume to Alliant’s Dot powders of the same colour. I haven’t personally used them, but most reports on performance were favourable.
