Running an SKS the Jerry Miculek way

Great speed and accuracy at 200 and 400 meters off hand with iron sights using Russian surplus. Interesting how he loads his SKS from the bottom.

I've never had much luck loading single rounds like that, perhaps that would account for the last round getting spat out?

Also note he used holdover as opposed to using the graduated rear sight

Are the graduated sight settings accurate using M43 ball ammo? His grouping at 400 meters, albeit off to the left are very tight.

You're asking the wrong guy, I love the rifle but he shoots at 400 like I shoot at 100 LOL

I believe they are calibrated for M43 ball, I only ever use the battle setting and holdover when needed.

I found they the cartridges can fall off the stripper clip easily, unless your working out of a box or on a table, its just as easy to load loose rounds from your pocket.

strippers are faster, but bottom loading is pretty cool.

Back to the subject at hand. This video proves those who complain about the SKS are, well... A bad shot. I didn't hear Jerry complain about the short LOP or the sights. And he did just fine with the crappy trigger.
