I just went out to the garage and put my rubber boots in the trunk, you never know there might be a stage where you have to cross a stream.
ok, so, after 1 full day of shooting, someone give me a no-BS assessment of the conditions on the range, as of today. wet grass, or soft ground, or running water, or ancle deep slimey mud which feels like you're running on ice?

Well, given that the ammo I'm shooting out of my main gun now seems to become unstable about 25m away, any tough shots beyond 30-35m I'm just going to take a Mike on and move on - I could be there standing for 10min, trying to knock it down. if it's an activator, ok, no choice, but for a solitary plate/popper, I'll just shoot at it once and move on. Let's just hope there aren't too many of those there (bullets are showing non-ballistic motion: 10m group size of 1" no problem, 20m group size of 2-3" no problem, at 35m group size is 1.5', even bench rest).
I won't have enough tanfoglio mags to shoot this match now, so it's still going to be with the NP22.
I'm surprised - Steve always struck me as someone who's very much into running and gunning, that's mostly close/med targets and lots of open field of fire, not really long shots shots at steel, the type of thing which forces you to come to a complete stop... Let's hope there aren't a lot of those...
Still, at least it doesn't sound like it will be boring!!
