Just got a call from my cousin, he was at a job site in a small town about a hour away from me and stumbled upon a small town gun store.
Loaded with milsurp stuff.

He talked about some Russian scopes there.

Said there were 2 types, 1 was a 4x illuminated, about 5 inchs long for $200. He ordered this for his SKS (along with a receiver mount).

The other was about $350 but had a range finder built in, etc.

Any info on the first one?
Im not too smart when it comes to optics, there must be a downside to having a short scope compared to the long 12" ones from north American companys?
He talked like you could probably drive over the little thing and not damage it, are they a good scope?

Cousin said it might work for my .44 mag Ruger carbine(in need of a scope), this sounded like a decent option. (assuming it would mount on top, dont know if the mount for the scope is built in)
If not maybe i would slap it on my SKS, idk...

My father inlaw showed me one of these he brought from poland, build date is 1992, it has a electrical togal switch, he says its for night vision, thing take some wierd 3volt batteries, I need to find some! Does anyone have batteries for this?

Again, try interammo. I would imagine if its a POSP or at least uses the same batteries, he can get them for you. Hopefully Teapot will chime in soon, he's the guy you want to talk to. Could the switch be for reticule illumination?
