Russian mag

Hi,fellow gunnutz. My friend just bought a Russian SKS and he wants a bigger mag, 20 or 30 rounder, and he wants to know if such a thing is available in Canada, and if any modifications are necessary. I tried the search function but nothing came up so I thought I'd ask the people in the know on the reds section. Thanks in advance for helping a friend out. Cheers.

They are available in Canada. Check out some of the dealers at the top of the page, Marstar, Westrifle or Frontier Firearms. I think they all carry them. No modification to the rifle is necessary, they just replace the existing magazine. These magazines are all permanently modified to only hold 5 rounds though in accordance with Canadian Firearm regulations for semi-auto centrefire rifles.

I believe Fabsports at the top of the page has the best deal I've seen. I think they want something like $30 per mag. The tapco mag when put into a siminov (and other Russians I'm sure) require minor adjustment.
