Hey CGN! We've gotten in fresh crates of soviet SKSes and a new pallet of Russian-made 7.62x39mm 700-round bulk packs, which tells me just one thing: it's time for a package! In the spirit of the rifle, we're calling this the Battle Pack -- you can pick one up in store, or you can get it shipped to you coast to coast in the provinces (no PO BOXes, sorry!) with special flat rate shipping and be blasting in the latest USSR fashion in no time!

Get yourself an SKS online, or come into our store and save on the shipping -- these packs are available NOW!

Cheers,
Daniel

^ As far as I know, CanPar & UPS will not ship to a PO box (Canada Post ones anyways), and require a physical address to drop the package to. These are the only carriers to ship ammo.

Deal looks great, makes me want another SKS!

I was under the impression UPS would ship to PO boxes in their UPS store or am I mistaken?

Great deal. . . I think I am going to buy a safe just for SKSs. . . .lol

It would even be better with free shipping but again this is the real world. . . Lol

So why is this Russian SKS more expensive than other SKS sold by other dealers?

More expensive doesnt mean anything. Supply and demand as well as cost of production or transport & importation has something to do with it. Do you know that in some places in this world you can get a new Russian AK47 for 100USAD and our precious Russian SKS is offered at 50 USDA. We just pay for them more in good old Canada.

Don't get me wrong I have a Russian SKS from Wanstall and it is as good as mt 2 Chinese except the stock is a little nicer.

Wow 50 USDA!!! The average monthly salary in India is about $300 USDA.

And thanks for letting me know that Wanstalls production cost affects the price of the SKS.

As for importation fees so sorry to hear they don't pay the same as other importers - that is so unfair; yet another reason the Canadian government does not treat all citizens equally.

I should have been more clear in my question - is the quality (stock, barrel, trigger, gun parts, reliability, etc.) of a Russian SKS superior than Chinese made SKS to justify the higher price? Just what warrants the higher price.

As for the ammo is it also superior or simply just military surplus?

Thanks
