Besides those little leatherette pouches that come with the Russian SKS's, I was wondering if there was any other way the Soviets carried ammo for the this rifle?

i've seen pictures of cloth bandoliers- esp on early nva,and other communist bloc- i should imagine that bandoliers are pretty well universal-be it plastic or cloth

here is a Chinese sks vest

I've seen the Chicom rigs.

I was more curious about what the Soviets might have come up with besides the little leatherette pouches ....and pockets. I too was thinking that 'pockets' was probably the answer.;)

Seeing how they haven't used this gun for any substantial amount of time, I doubt they are looking to come up with anything for this gun. The little leather pouch seems to be what all WW2 era rifles comes with.

I have an old army coat and liner I wear and it has pockets inside the pockets, and I can carry as much .39 as you'd ever need.:D:D I like to keep things simple. Cheers.
