Russian Sks Handguard/gas tube wooden

Hi, I am looking for a Russian handguard / gas tube with the metal fittings. I have an SKS that I turned into a Tapco. I have now bought a beautiful TimberSmith but I lack the metal parts from the original to reconnect the new handguard. There must be thousands of them out there with everyone doing all these upgrades. I am finding some difficulty in locating one however. If anyone can help please let me know. You can pm me or post.

The metal pieces should be what's holding the Tapco plastic on. You reuse the metal every time u swap the stock out.

Yeah, just use the old assembly and metal ferrels.

Sksman doesn't sell that [part only the Tapco style. I would reuse the part but the metal is somewhat buggered from removal at some point so replacement is required. I want the wood NOT the plastic. Is it only the two ferrels (1 on either end) that hold it in place? If I have to use the old one I will but I would like to replace the buggered part.

The part that the pin goes through is "damaged" on the ferrel.

Check out Numrich. They have a minimum shipping price of $40 so you're best off ordering any spare parts you would ever want for all your firearms at once IMO.

That is a ridiculous shipping price. I would never pay that. I would but a whole new gun before I paid that.

I agree completely, $40 is rediculous for one or two parts. That is why I suggested picking up every last pin, spring, screw, spare part etc to make the shipping worth while, then you have spare parts for life.

If all you want is a gas tube and a ferrule, you may just have to buy a new gun if you don't want to pay $55. Numrich is the only place I found that has them. Maybe someone else knows somewhere that has them, but they don't seem like a common thing to have laying around.

I've bought a few of them from Lever. They are Chinese, and can vary in condition. From poor to just OK.
I don't see them listed on their site anymore though...(?)

They are on there and show in stock. Doesn't say whether it is Chinese or Russian though.

Yeah, they weren't there the last couple weeks. Must have been out of them briefly.
Best thing to do is put together an order with other items to justify the shipping.
