Hello, I picked up 2 sks 's today, one is 1950 44nm, typical cheap referb., looks like paint, silver bolt, orig. barrel., stock resanded.
Other one is 1954 original stock , blue with a dated stock, and I can't remember if dating the stock is usual, I have handled a few , but never collected them; chrome barrel.

I bought a few as well from a site sponsor. One seems decent. The other is the worst sks I have ever owned with rust, pitting under the barrel and an ugly stock. To be fair, they did say the stocks were grade 2 so I won't fault them for that. Pitting and rust?? Oh well, buying on line is like buying food at a drive through. Joe Pesci said it best!

cheers,

Thanks Magellann, It has been a while since I had one with original wood. The 50 looks O.K., , and I could make the stock nice, but too many irons in the fire to bother, still a 200.oo gun
2-3 years ago I got in a bunch for all the club members and most of those ones where exc condition, but this years you take what you get.
