I bought mine on Ebay.
There are ones that are pointy on the top and ones that are round. I've heard some were used or made postwar by the Eastern European satellites.
Does anyone know a source to find out more information about these?

Mine has a pointy top like the one in the B&W photo & has the following markings:

TP
N02211
<-|> 73

What a great find

hey just wanted to say hi and wow what a cool piece of history.....just think of all the old timers that may have used the same equipment to live day to day in the trenches.....COOL!!!!!!!!!1

I couldn't afford one these days either. Picked mine up MANY years ago in the U.K.

Beats sticking ones head over the top of the trench;)
