Well i just received my Russian TT33 in 7.62x25. I was impressed at how compact and relatively light it is compared to my other pistols. The other thing that impressed me was the design. I stripped it to clean it and it is quite simple and elegant in design... Got it all cleaned and now am going to take it to the range when i get my hands on some ammo...

I have shot a CZ52 in the same caliber and i just loved it.. looking forward to seeing how this one shoots.. I could not believe how clean this pistol was when i finally got it all apart.. very little rust if any .. I am impressed with russian design...

Now i just have to get myself a crate of surplus ammo from someone.. and will set for the zombies.. LOL

To canukatc: Thanks for the idea about the holster.. will definitely looking into it...

To Rod B: Yes that is what impressed me ... just pops right out for easy access.. Yah i sort of figured that the Browning design was copied in a way.. but really like the hammer and sear group engineering..

Well I've got 640 rounds through mine so far and the only slight issue I had was once not quite slamming my stickier magazine home on a closed action. The darn thing shoots exactly as aimed and if it doesn't it's because of the loose screw attached to the grips. Honestly it's been a wonderfully reliable and accurate way to turn small amounts of cash into big booms and grins.

I will suggest though that 1000 rounds are not enough.
 
I love mine as well. This round is scary. Specially, steel core. Penetrates everything on it's path. I am talking about surplus ammo. Make sure that your range allows to use of steel core ammo. Enjoy!

tried mine on some 6x6 spruce at the range and had to shoot diagonally till I got to 7.5 inches. The bullet popped out and bouced off the 6x6 behind it. Lots of jam in that little round.
 
I got mine last week. Havent had a chance to shoot it, but it seems like a great pistol. Super simple to take apart. Picked up 2000 rounds of surplus ammo to go with it. Can't wait to try it out.
 
What do you guys think of the ACCURACY of this firearm with the milsup 1950s ammo??

Ive used a few different types of this ammo in mine and cant hit much of anything with it....and I dont think its me because with a .22cal Ruger mark 3 handgun I can hit a 2 inch target pretty easy at 25 meters with no support (although it could be me....perhaps im not holding the gun firmly enough to counter movement the exploding round makes or something??)

The gun seems to shoot about 6 inches high at 25M, and still inches high at 50M.

windage isnt as bad, but at 25M its anywhere within a 6 inch group. The "average" spot within the group is still several inches too high.

Ive fired hundreds of rounds, used bench rests, all of it..its too high.

I dont think we can even adjust for elevation on these can we? I see a fixed front sight and windage for rear but no elevation.

My current plan is to simply aim low- memorization- and to not usethis gun for target competitions :b

Ammo- yeah it could be the old ammo, ive never tried "new" made stuff...expensive it is!

Your issue is your distance, why are you shooting at 50M lol. Bring it to 15 and find out were it shoots first.
