Russian weapons warehouse

Pretty cool, but the poor things all look like they've been dipped in motor oil.

The pocket Mauser has a dummy barrel, the Luger looks suspect, the 1911 is missing bits, the MP44 looks like it was freshly dug from the carrot patch... Belarus has serious issues - money, leadership, general backwardness - so I don't expect Cody Museum quality stuff, but they could have done a bit more than they did for a public display.

Says the spoiled first-worlder...:)

Nice Model 1934 mauser pistol and even that StG 44 is beautiful. It really makes you wonder how many sites like this still remain in Russia.

Did anyone see the Ukranian armory that has only 1 guard posted to it? Completely filled with old artillery, armored carriers, smalls arms, etc. People have been raiding it for years, apparently the last guard assigned to it is being relieved this year and it will be officially abandoned.

I'll see if I can track down the article.
