Rust in a Brand New Glock

Definitely possible (for a noob to confuse that copper lube as rust)

Was it brand brand new - Sticker still holding the case shut? If so, yeah, I'd feel safe saying it was 100% the lube.

If you had access to the gun, you should have gave it a once over to remove situations like this ;)

Ask the buyer if the "rust" just wiped off.

Had it happen, but with an AR-15. Our barrels in particular have a thin, fairly hard coat of protectant that needs to be cleaned out before firing. It looks like rust on patches and we have had phone calls about it.

i have left my G17 in a soaked case for 2 weeks and no rust at all...it just stunk like ####! Just clean it and go blasting.

I seen it and heard it, mostly from people who want a Glock but don't know why, other than what they read or saw on TV.

Or pic one up and shoot it. I was by no means a Glock fan. Then I had a chance to run a few hundred rounds through one. New respect. Now after over 25,000 rounds the same Glock 22 is still in business. Glocks work!
