Rust inside steel tubes

Got a steel tubed scope with some surface rust inside the tube. Anyone else run into this?

Don't worry about it unless it starts to flake and fall off. Oil inside the tube does more damage to a lens than a flake of rust.
Oil vapour will coat a lens and then they are a bugger to clean.
Why did you open the tube anyhow and find it ???

I can see it through the front lens.

I know with an older steel/unsealed scope this could be an issue. It appears to be very light surface rust.
