Rusting on my parkerhale

So if my parkerhale comes in contact with any moisture it starts to get surface rust. it comes of easily with cleaning oil but still... Is there anythig i can do to the barrel to prevent this?

Keep a light film of "gun oil" on the metal, don't store it in a case.

I suggest using G96 Gun Treatment, a silicone based product. It works very well for many.
