Rusty Factory Shotshells? New?

I got some 3'' magnums BB shot to test out in my gun.. Winchester Xpert, Federal Speed Shok, and Remington Sportsman.. the Remingtons look used or rusted. Federal are the nicest looking with WInchester in betewen. Bets on whether the patterning performance will also rank: 1) Federal 2) Winchester 3) Remington?

I guess I'm asking whether this is the norm for Remington shells.

That is nothing and very normal with today's shells. Get a box you have to scrape to fit in the chamber and then you will have some rust.
