Rusty SKS

Just picked up a laminated SKS from one of our site sponsors and found that some of the stock components were really rusted. The crossbolt was completely rusted and had rusted the joint at the bottom of the bareel/receiver. What could I do to clean this up?

Also, anyone know where I could find a replacement buttplate trapdoor assembly?

Return it to the site sponser. Rusty anything is unacceptable when there are so many SKS's in excellent condition.
