Would any knowledgeable handloaders out there know of a source for RWS bullets.....I'm using a 256 gr. blunt-nose bullet in my 9.3x62 Tikka, don't know its make ,think its RWS as thats the closest manufactured bullet to that weight that comes to mind that I'm aware of.
The only other bullet I've used is a 270 Speer, and my gun hates them, smallest group being about 7" for three shots.
The unknown 256 bullets I'm using group .80-.90 with almost any powder, and thats with a thorough cleaning after every shot ( still breaking in ).
The rifle apparently has a 14" twist, somewhat slower than other rifles of same chambering, don't know why.
I'll appreciate any help in this direction, especially from any other 9.3x62 shooters.
Cheers...Kevan

i believe the bullet you are using is a 257gr H-mantle and no i don't really know where you can get RWS bullets, but you can try Ralf Martini and ask if he can order them in for you, since he can get RWS brass. If your 9.3x62 doesn't like the 270gr Speer, you are not alone. My Steyr 9.3x64 shoots pretty much everything i feed her 0.5-0.7MOa without much trouble but hates those 270gr Speer.I shot everything in it from 231gr PPC-Norma to300gr Woodleighs, but she dislikes the 270grainers.If you weigh them individually, you will find out that their weight varies from268gr all the way to 271.5gr,which can do the trick of lousy groups.I only use them now for Whitetails in the swamps, where shooting distances are mostly less than 200yds.You can try out some Barnes,if you want to use lighter for caliber bullets. Also you might check out Lapua and Norma websites,as they list distributors in Canada.
Good luck.

There are a couple of options for RWS I have used in the past.
Mailorder from Germany.... LOTS of excellant sources and shipping isn't all that bad if you buy in qty. Also The Old West Schrounger carries a lot of metric components. Don't know if Dave can still export to Canada, but it is worth a try.
Good luck.
