This mag is supposed to work with a wide variety of common calibers for the AR15.

Hopefully well get them in Canada soon if someone decides to import them :D

The UNIMAG multi-caliber magazine, RZE’s first production-ready firearm component, provides enhanced performance and reliability for gun owners and enthusiasts. Compatible with AR-15 and other rifles that use a STANAG magazine, the UNIMAG is proven to be reliable and functional for six different types of ammunition and counting. The patented design includes a two-piece, self-levering follower that maintains its stability while also accommodating tilt introduced by the ammo, and a self-adjusting magazine shell to regulate various cartridge diameters.

Ammo Capacity
223/556/300BLK/204Ruger (all based on 223 case) 30
5.45X39 29
6.8SPC 26
7.62X39 25
6.5 Grendel 24
458 SOCOM 12

With our Laws I doubt a mag like this could be brought in. By Law it would need to be pinned to 5 but what caliber would you pin it to? Bet the one that would hold the least overall, 5 rounds of 5.56 so even less so of the other calibers. No advantage at all to Canadian shooters. Good idea though if we could get the mag Laws dumped.

Yup. Guaranteed. Would be pinned to lowest capacity.

But I'd be interested as an alternate 5/30 7.62x39 magazine just for better fit with a pouch.

Jack of all trades, master of none?

I'm doubtful on the overall reliability... You're trying to use 1 magazine for calibers with a pretty wide variance in them.

Normal x39 mags have a lot more bend to em, did they just shoot for the middle of the two and hope for the best?

They look to be promising, however the 50$USD price is 30% to high :D. If it turns out to be reliable than it might be worth the price just for the 7.62x39.

Awesome, so now, with multiple magazines loaded with multiple calibers for diff firearms i have to make sure to grab the right ones?

Pinned to 5 of the smallest caliber = 223.

ZERO interest.

Beats having 20 magazines on you. You're supposed to check and make sure you use the right ammo anyway, or you can just label the magazine. For those of us that have ar's in 7.62x39 this is something worth looking at.

:agree: I'll stick with my Gen 3 Magpuls.

If the manufacturer was able to label them as. 50 Beowulf mags and sell them as such we would be good. The RCMP does not classify mags. The Beowulf mags are already legal, these just have a more efficient follower. If they can do that I will buy 8.

Well if they only advertise them as 50 beowulf mag there goes their entire marketing strategy....

Honestly, most US gun and accessories manufacturers have no interest in dealing with exports and ITAR to provide to a very small market in Canada...

Again being a multi caliber mag it would have to be pinned to the 223 5 round limit which would mean even less of the larger calibers.

You would be better off as stated with the Rob Arm pistol mag. If they are a little finicky with a full 10 rounds you would still be better off loading 8 or 9 in it than using this mulit caliber mag pinned to 5 rounds of 223.

Good idea..... in the US! Not so much here with our mag Laws, we have better options. Unless your OK with running 3 or 4 round mags.
