S&B brass, is it decent?

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone has experience using S&B brass, I am starting to reload for my .308, and was using S&B 147 fmj. Just wanting to know if this brass is good enough for use once, twice, three times?
 
Decent stuff, however 6.5 Swede S&B has a smaller than normal flash hole that a standard deprime pin will either get stuck in or not go through at all!!
 
I have seen quite a few pieces of S&B brass with flash hole off center and broke one or two decaping pins on those.I remember folks mentioning this on more than one caliber from this maker.

For this reason alone I would opt for any other make (if possible).
 
Have a bunch of 223 from a bulk buy last year. Flash hole not stellar and I've seen some people have splitting issues after a few reloads. Wouldn't buy it for reloading but if you have any on hand just use but watch for issues.
 
My Sellier and Bellot 7.62x54r and 6.5x55 brass has been as good as any other so far. Also happy with Prvi Partisan
 
I use S&B 7.62 x 54 but I annealed the brass after the first firing. Got a
couple of split necks after 6 reloadings, and that's with midrange loads.
Lapua is the best stuff, but pricey. Starline is good brass as well.
S&B is ok for folks wanting to save some bucks.
 
S+B is all I have for my 7.62x54R.
Recovered from shooting factory ammo.(Not accurate at all)
Annealed prior to first reload and after fifth reload.
Lost one case to a tiny crack near the head, and one to
a crimping experiment :redface:

I found the primer pockets to be shallow, and ruined a
primer pocket uniformer trying to get them to let a primer
seat below flush.
I still have some I have not uniformed the pocket on, and
I've bought some pistol primers to try in them.
