S.I.R. 7.62x54R Winchester?

What do you guys think? I checked the Winchester site and it's not listed...all they have is 180 grain FMJ.

That's the exact ammo I tried to order last fall and S.I.R. said they don't have it anymore and what they do is they substitute 150 gr Igman brand for it. Igman is made in Bosnia and Herzegovia and I hear the brass is of poorer quality for reloading.

I wish some of these gun/ammo sales internet sites would update their sites more often.

Well that's a dissapointment. I don't really care about the brass much, but is it softpoint and is it corrosive?

They're 150 gr sp, boxer primed, non-corrosive

Of course you can buy IGMAN for about 4 bucks less a box elsewhere.

Should I cancel my order? I ordered 2 boxes of Igman for $47 or something like that before freight charges which is about $1.50 a shot...

Well, just ordering 2 boxes at one time is kind of costly. When I placed my order (which was over $200) I got several boxes of 8x57, 6.5x55, and 7.62x54R all at the same time so that lessened the cost per box.

Districorp sells Igman.

If you end up getting Igman instead of Winchester ( which it sounds like you might) and you pay more than the $11.95 a box that you would pay at Districorp...........
