Anyone had any luck with one of these yet? I had an ATI "No Drill" mount on my other enfield and I wasnt happy with it...
I saw this one today and was curious if anyone has had it and liked it or if it is just garbage like the ATI on

Thanks

ATI makes a good sporter stock for the Enfields but their scope mounts are junk. If I could find the youtube video of the guy that had his scope fly off his Enfield, I will repost it. Best "no gun smith/ no drill" scope mount for Enfields, p14 and p17 is by Addley Precission, made right here in Midland Ontario Canada. I own 3 and they are professionally made and solid. Anodized aluminum and in picatini or weaver. Gery makes mounts for SKS's and other milsup rifles also.

The S&K is better made than the ATI. I had a rifle that came with one but I didn't keep it (the mount) because I like having the iron sights as backup, so I use a couple of Cad-Techniks. They work well for me but I think the Addley Precision mount that Garaldtao suggests is better. (It wasn't around when I bought the Cad-Techniks.)

S@K is good, Armalon is better in that it has a longer rail. I don't like the ATI, wasn't completely happy with the Cad-Technik.

I have had most of them except the Armalon. I've ended up getting the newest generation of Addley mount. Made in Canada and the rail is long, almost up to the receiver ring...so you can mount big long modern scopes with it.

I like the way they mount up. And you can use a Mk II flip sight so you still have irons.

I changed the screw he included to replace the ejector screw out for a buttplate screw, which has the right pitch. (not one mount I've encountered has the right screw with it- apparently none of the mount makers have ever heard of BA screws) They all expect you to reef the wrong screw into your receiver, thus changing the threads... Personally, I like a screw to go in with your fingers, then I know it's right.

S&K are good but too short IMHO. (and you lose the irons)

Cad Technik sit so high, you basically have a chin weld. (but you keep the irons, and the mount is quick release with 2 thumb screws, leaving you with irons)

B Square are pretty good. Very lightly built though and made in China as I recall. I had to change out all of the fasteners they included. You can use a Mk II flip sight with it.

I have the S&K on a No5..no probs...none
The ATI I had on a No4 started to lift out after about 100rds
Currently , I'm using a B-Square on a No4 ( aluminum ). They need some very simple tweeking but mine has held on thru countless shots.
Now , with that said , if I where to purchase another I'd take Cantoms' lead

I've used and S&K for several years and really like it. Simple to install, maintains accuracy, no problems. What more could you want?

The S&K holds very well, the only thing that I don't like is how short the rail is on it. Depending on the scope and shooter it may be difficult to get the eye relief set correctly.

The quality and solidity of the S&K are great...if they were to update them to quite a bit longer and with a more Picatinny rail like profile, they'd have more of a winner.

As they sit now, you can only put your scope in one spot and the scope can't be that long.

Then there is the B Square mount. With it you can mount a much longer scope and also use a 2 position flip iron sight. Personally though, I found it too flimsy and light, although Timberlord has said his holds zero very well. Also, I found the rail dimensions out of spec, meaning some rings wouldn't tighten up on it properly.

I've had no probs with the fit of the rings , but since it is aluminum I keep to a scope with lighter weight.
I feel the recoil along with a heavier scope could cause a problem.
Steel mount is the proper way to go..I'm just too cheap...lol
