Below are a couple of pics of my S&W Model 2206 TGT "Target" Stainless.

Are there any other 2206 owners out there?

Any and all feedback/info etc. is welcome, from anyone willing to give it.

This gun continues to shoot like a champ for me without any problems.

Thanks.

I'm not an owner, but good lord, that's practically a 90 degree grip angle!

Pistols: where a right angle is not the right angle. Har har. Looks cool, though. :D

Phat, I totally hear ya' about the grip angle.

But, somehow, holding the gun feels really natural and not awkward in the least.

But the way a gun looks and feels aren't always the same thing.

If it felt nearly as odd as it looks I wouldn't own it. But I hear ya'...

I had a S&W 622, 4.5" 2206 and man was it the nicest feeling gun in my hand ever. I only was burnt a few times by the low ejection port. The low mass made recoil more then any other semi auto 22LR out there.

What ever you do, Don't fire ammo like CCI Stingers or Mini Mags....My buddy did that through my gun and it loosened all the bolts in it. The barrel nut loosened off, grip screws, even the screws holding the left frame plate, man did it ever cause me problems, bent some parts.

I had one years ago when I used to shoot bullseye. I found it to be a great gun for shooting slow fire strings because it was so light. But I found the light weight to be a draw back when shooting timed and rapid fire.

Thanks for your posts, folks! ...let's keep 'em coming.

Also, thanks RobertMcC for the hot ammo tip. Luckily, I've only ever shot stock stuff through it like Winchester Wildcats (non hollow point), and had no plans to put anything hot through it.

But after what you said, that option is PERMANENTLY off the table.

Just bought one a month ago the same as yours 6 inch barrel stainless accurate, great trigger, great price with 800 rounds of ammo and 3 mags.Have to keep extractor clean seems to stove pipe occasionaly if it gets dirty.

I bought a 422 thinking it was the same thing than a 2206. Big difference, the 2206 is way heavier. I sold it 2 weeks after... but I'd buy a 2206 if the opportunity shows up.
