Is it better to get 7" or 5 1/2" version?

Is there a minimum length for some disciplines?

I'm leaning towards 7", but I was just wondering if
I can use for all disciplines?

I think there may be a MAX length for some divisions, but the 7" would be my choice too.

Barrel for 41

If you have any thought of shooting ISSF competitions (Standard Pistol, Sport Pistol, or Rapid Fire), then get the 5 1/2 inch barrel. The 7-inch will not fit within the regulation test box. The 5 1/2 inch barrel will still be suitable for NRA Conventional Pistol and even at 50 yards, shooting one-handed (per the rules), you will not likely see any difference in score. At 25 yards, the shorter sight radius of the 5 1/2 inch barrel will be an advantage in Timed and Rapid fire.

Model 41

Why not get both? When I got mine I got the 5 incher on it cause it was the most practical and then ordered the long barrel as a spare. It drops in so easy it is not 20 second change over. By the way I can not tell the difference in the accuracy - they seem the same to me even with the longer site radius.
Carry on!
