S&W 44 rusian double action perscribed antique?

On a (largely unrelated) side note , I think more than a few Russians would have preferred the .44 S&W revolver to the replacement Nagant........

Yes id agree.
I think it was the Russians stuck S&W with a huge non payment on a shipment of 10,000 or so guns they were Russian SA models tho the ones with the extra finger on the trigger gard,
Nice guns but hard to #### one handed.

The S&W DAs are much nicer to shoot id take one over any top break for accuracy and smooth actions.
only my S&W schofield is as nice to shoot as a S&W DA.

I do love my DA but the grip is terrible. I have a photo of a nice pair of target (larger) grips but can't find anyone to make me a set.
