Anyone ever shoot one/own one?

Dad saw them for sale on questar and was wanting to know if anyone has shot them? How accurate are they?

The 5906's on Questar's sight have the non-prohibited longer BarSto barrels installed, if they shoot like the 45 ACP I have with a BarSto barrel in it they should be great.

I've got a 4006 which is basically the same pistol in .40 S&W. I quite enjoy it. It's got a nicer trigger than the 2nd Gen. Smiths.

If I was buying a new Smith auto, I'd go with the M&P.

I owned one in the early '90's--great balance, nice sights, crisp tigger but couldn't shoot it worth a damn. Tried a Glock 17--didn't like the look, the feel, or the trigger but shot it much better. If it were me, I'd be looking at Glock, SIG, Beretta, H&K, or CZ before I bought a Smith semi. Maybe the M&P is working out better?

I've had a 59, 459 and a 5904 - like Stevo says of the 3 gens the 3rd gen has the nicer trigger. Currently, don't have any 9mm S&W autos. Do have a stainless 4006, too which I'm also really fond of, though... ;)
