I recently picked up a 1984 S&W 629-2. The pistol came with a Hogue one piece rubber grip.
I perfer wood grips, so I ordered up a Jerry Miculek one piece wooden grip from Hogue, which arrived a couple of days ago.
The retaining clip for the JM grip is supposed to attach to the Grip/Stock pin at the bottom of the grip frame. I have a hole in my frame, but no pin!
I went onto Brownell's site and see that a S.S. roll pin (Part # 940-070-220WB) is what fits into the hole. The pin is only $1.62, but I'm guessing they will charge quite a bit more to ship it north of the border!
I know I can obtain S.S. roll pins locally. I was wondering if anyone knows the dimension of the pin, or if some kind sole could measure their pin and provide me with the dimensions.
If someone happens to have a spare pin laying around, and is willing to part with it, that would be a bonus.
Cheers,
