S&W 629 .44 Magnum VS IIIA Body Armour (Video)

When I clicked on his link there was also a video of a face piece attached to a helmet. 44 Mag from 12". Stopped it with minor damage to dummy's face compared to the shot at the end!

They list the round as .44 Magnum, 240gr JSP with MV of 2200fps, out of a handgun. Hahahahahaha! Just a bit of exaggeration there.

Despite that, I would still rather have the face guard than not.

Without something to stand in for a human torso your tests are meaningless. Still interesting though:).

Definitly true, not trying to be the mythbusters here, it was just something I wanted to try. There are limitations as to what can be shot at the range, and i'm sure spewing ballistics gel all over the floor was out of the question. Here's hoping that someday I win the lottery or inherit a great fortune so I can build a CFO approved testing facility.

Have to admit though, it was fun.

"240gr JSP 2200FPS 12"

Hmmmmm. Not sure where they are getting there ammo from, but 2200 is a little faster then, oh I don't know, reality.

ETA, sorry Mark, I should have looked at page 3 before posting, geez.
