S&w 647 17hmr

Anyone own and or shot one of these? Would like to hear some thoughts on this gun. Been thinking about finding/buying one for some longer range and cheaper shooting.

Did shoot one (and owned a 648 in .22wmr) a while ago. If your looking for longer range shooting, you're better off buying a rifle in that calibre (we're not allowed to hunt with such a piece up here). For plinking and range fun it's a nice gun but unless you already have a rifle in .17HMR, I would pick a 617 in .22lr any day of the week and twice on sunday. Way cheaper to shoot and as much fun.
