S&W 686 mod Info?

I was looking for some info on my 686 from any S&W gurus out there.I am not sure what mod it is or anything else. It is stainless with tempered steel trigger and hammer and adjustable sights. the serial range is:

M
MOD. 586
G7
295XX

Well, if it's actually a Model 586 then it isn't stainless, might have one of the nickeled finishes that looks stainless though. - dan
