Hello fellas
I have in the family a s&w model 1 gen 3, seven shot .22 revolver.
Now the question i can't figure out on the actuall government sites is, is it concidered an antique? or a prohibited fire arm in the eyes of the law?
it is in pretty good condition, but the family member had it decomisioned, it might be able to be fixed back to working condition depending on the skill of the gun smith.
I am just wondering for a legal standpoint and u guys probably have more of a handle on the laws ( or interpretation that what i do)
from what i can find on info on said firearm, the gen 3 was made from 1868 t0 1881, this one i think was stamped in 1871 according to the serial number.
