S&w Ar15's

The most sincere form of flattery is to have your conpeditor make a better product than yours. Hence, the new S&W AR-15 compliments the almost new S&W M1911A1 .45 pistol. It shows how far Colt's Firearms has fallen when S&W makes better products than their own bread and butter models.

^How is the S&W "a better product" than Colt or any other AR manufacturer for that matter? I'm sure it's just as good as Busmaster/Stag/RRA/Colt but I wouldn't be that fast to judge that it is "better" because they just start to sell them.

In fact I believe S&W use CMT forgings, identical to those used by Stag and RRA. Correct me if I'm wrong.

They're selling well enough that their manufacturing sub-contractor (in New Britain, CT), has had to purchase another building to keep up with demand.

They do have the 'correct' features like taper pin mount FSB, mil-spec buffer tube/stock.

Have yet to hear anything bad about them. Good marketing move for S&W, IMHO, and sales seem to bear that out.

How would you hear something bad? A mil spec AR built by a well known manufacturer. The production barrels are Wilson or Shaw, the FF rail is done by Troy as is the BUIS on the "tactical" model. Sounds like a parts gun built from every other maker but wearing the S&W name. Suggested retail is $1200-1700 US. A bit off the mark for an AR if you ask me.
