I'm not certain this is the correct forum (and if it isn't, feel free to point me in the right direction) but I'm looking for a gunsmith who
specializes in shortening S&W barrels. I have a 6 inch model 66 that I would like shortened to the minimum legal length for a restricted firearm.
The front sight will either need to be moved or replaced with a similar one. ( I carried a 4" 66 for 10 yrs. as a police chief in the 80's & 90's. and would
like as near a replica as my RPAL will permit. When I left police work in the mid 90's , I foolishly sold all my handguns and therefore am not grandfathered for prohibs.)
