I just bought an FPC. It's minor, maybe 2 degrees, but the barrel and receiver halves aren't dead on aligned. I was looking at buying a taccom rear scope mount (link) to throw a magnifier on it, but I'm concerned that the misalignment could impact that. Here's a picture, is this common?

First the type 81 and now this.

Looks optimized for a southpaw.

I would say no big deal but if it bothers you try and exchange/return

Looks like it’s at the buffer tube socket, can you screw in the tube to adjust it?

If I bought it new I’d return it or get a replacement.
Thats what I took for the picture too - issue is with the buffer tube alignment.

As others have said it is an easy enough fix or you could return / exchange for one that isn't misaligned.

I generally change so many parts that I dont notice such blemishes :)

I brought the gun back to the retailer, and they showed me another one. It's exactly the same. I went to another retailer that day to buy unrelated items, and I checked out their FPC. It also had exactly the same misalignment. So, I'm not going to bother with an exchange. Maybe they're all from the same batch, or maybe I'm being too picky. I'll take a look at the buffer tube, but I think that's a bit of an illusion and the misalignment is at the hinge.

It's difficult to tell with your optic on there if the misalignment starts where the folding mechanism is. Because the gun folds in the middle of the axis of misalignment some misalignment is very likely to occur.
This firearm is not a precision rifle, maybe check some pictures from our American compatriots to see if this is an export only "feature"

How are you liking the FPC so far? Seems like an interesting carbine, and I see some aftermarket parts are available for it.
I had it out last week while hunting and put 50 rounds through it during a lunch break. Lots of fun, very controllable. I put the Primary Arms 1x prism with the 9mm BDC reticle on it. I zeroed for about 50 yards. It's more accurate than I could be in the improvised set up we had there, but it would be fun to dial it in and see how the BDC performs. Really nifty! Wish it was a couple inches shorter like the restricted version just so it would fit in a normal backpack better, but still super nifty. I bought a couple 3d printed parts off a guy with ads on #######, new stock, magaznie spacers that actually lock in place, and a rear half rail I haven't mounted yet.
