when i first looked at this i thought 'WTF is the point of this', much like the Mossberg 4x4.
then i looked at it some more and thought 'maybe it wont be so bad':
they seem to have addressed some of the issues people complain about in the modern 700s (although i wish theyd have redesigned the safety) such as higher quality barrels, Timney trigger, Sako style extractor, etc.
but then i looked at the range results: over 2" groups? they made such a big deal about the tight tolerances and quality of the T/C barrels, and thats the best they can do? a $300 Stevens will group better than that out of the box with its stock trigger.
i dont see these selling for anything less than $699 in Canada. for that much money i would rather go to either a Stevens, Savage or a Remington 700 SPS and drop in some aftermarket components. thats another thing - there will be nowhere near the stocks and aftermarket accessories available for this rifle.
