S&W M&P 40 - source for original parts?

I am looking to replace my RECOIL GUIDE ROD ASSEMBLY. Having some issues.

Anyone with decent parts selection in Canada or will I have to order from Brownells?

Try Murray Charlton Enterprises, if they're out, Brownells. If you're ordering from Brownells you might as well get some other stuff - mag springs, striker etc. otherwise the shipping is ugly.

If you're ordering small, light parts, yes $10.95 is a lot for something that could be mailed in a standard letter envelope.

How true but, in Canada if the envelope doesn't fit the through the 3/4" plastic slot, they make you pay the parcel price on the envelope which is a big ripoff.

Not a problem with Brownells, they put whatever it is in a nice 6x8x6 cardboard box and you pay the cube rate, even though most of what is shipped is Styrofoam peanuts.

I just ordered $48 worth of gun oil and grease from Brownells. I asked to ship it the cheapest possible rate. They shipped it USPS Air for ~$27.........so not what I would consider cheap. Really hoping I don't get hit with brokerage fees

This is because you picked the wrong shipping method.

Call them at the International desk and explain the situation they will usually make it right..

If you can't find a S&W recoil spring assembly, you can also reuse the guide rod with a Glock recoil spring.

Brownells but the exchange rate is bad at the moment. I ordered sear housing for my m&p at $19, shipping is $10.95 and with exchange its almost $40 (1.3297 exchange)
