S&W M&P9 Pro for Production class

GET IN THERE!!! Seriously, get you BB and get in the matches, it's a blast!

If you're running a stock M&P 4.25" (not the Pro or CORE, I don't have any data on those), you will probably never wear it in so much that it goes below minimum trigger pull. Don't worry about it. If you're a worrier, buy yourself a trigger pull gauge and watch it. But you will be wasting your time. :)

That's what I like to hear!! It's a huge waiting process for ontario.

If you like the Pro go with the 5" version and install a heavier trigger return spring. The spring will keep you above the 5# minimum for IPSC. My Pro came with a 4.5# pull right off the bat. I use it for IDPA SSP Division and with Apex parts it now has a very smooth 2 3/4# pull. I have other M&P's fitted with the heavier return spring for IPSC. Changing the spring takes 15 minuites with a punch and small hammer. Youtube is full of how to videos. If I can do it anyone can.

The only disadvantage is you are stuck with a 5#+ trigger for all the shots. I don't really find it makes much difference to me but some find it more challenging than the crisp SA pull found in the CZ/Tanfanglio guns. For most shooters I doubt it makes much difference in how they score over a match. I guess it depends if you look into a mirror and see Bob Vogel's next challenger or Freddy Fun Shooter.

IPSC is a blast and the PRO will serve you well. So will the regular FS for less money and little difference in performance. The trigger is not quite as nice but you will never notice it once the buzzer goes off. Lots of choices and they all work.

Take Care

Bob
