Just recieved a S & W Model 10 in .38 (Marked on barrel) I would assume early 60's?? Any idea on how to decode or date it? Some one has reworked this gun as the half moon sight has been filed and some of the writing on the barrel haas been buffed off and the gun appears to have been reblued..... There are a couple of hallmarks on the gun, they are two crossed swords and characters I can not make out. The second is a crown with B N P.... Any insight would be appreciated.
