S&W Model 28-2 barrel replacement

Just trying to draw from the pool of experience this site has to offer.... anyone have any information on replacement barrels for and old N-frame model 28-2 357?
What will fit?
Manufacturer's, vendors, gun shops, etc.?

Anybody with any experience or knowledge about this would be a big help

Any N frame barrel will fit. If you are looking to convert a prohib to restricted, I'd recomment looking for an older 38/44 outdoorsman barrel in 38 special as a start.

I have one that the cylinder has been re-purposed to 44 spl and will have a longer, non-prohib bbl shortly, compared to the current 4 inch 44 re-bore.

If you get a bbl and cyl, the 28 is a great [platform for playing around in any calibre (38/357, 41, 44, 45LC or 45ACP).
