I made the mistake of marathoning all of the dirty harry movies so of course i want to buy a 44 magnum now. B4 i post my WTB add in the exchange im just curious how much these things sell for on adverage? thanks alot!

You can find a descent 29-2 6"1/2 bbl just like in the early Dirty Harry movie for an average of $800-$850.

The 4 inchers (got 12-6?) with presentation box can be 800.00 + but yeah Harry's pretty much in the ball park. Look for a 6 incher in classic blue, mmmm......S&W blue......

for around 700.

Get one and then put in a Bang inc. spring kit and you'll fall in love all over again.

They do show on the EE from time to time for something in the high $600's. But they don't last long if they are decent. I wouldn't pass up a 629 either.

I kick myself often for not buying the 629 from the local store that had just gotten it in on consignment with a price of $650. It was in excellent condition too. But I was already paying for my cowboy action lever gun so I figured I'd pass on it..... I'm such an idiot at times.....
