S & W Model 586 What grip size K - L - N ???

I want to order grips off the internet for my Smith and Wesson .357 6'' Full under lug barrel but don't know what size to order this gun is from the 80's is this a
K, L OR N frame size???? sorry no pic

The model 586 takes K-frame grips.

K and L frame grips are interchangeable. I have a set of target grips on my M&P from a 586, fits perfectly.

K equals L grip size.

If your 586 is from the 80s, it will be a square grip frame.

586 is an L frame, and most (but not all) K frame grips for the same frame shape (square or round butt) will fit. - dan
