S&W REVOLVER EXTRA LENGTH FIRING PIN - Anyone have experience using these?

Not sure why I was getting pierced primers with CCI, but will be sticking with Federal anyhow.

Were the same moon clips used for both?

I read a few things about light strikes with the R8, and actually experienced one myself, using Remington factory ammo. I then read that S&W recommends that you use moonclips if your gun is cut for them; something about preventing the cartridge from jumping forward in the cylinder when hit by the firing pin. Been using moon clips exclusively, and have had nothing close to resembling a light strike lately.

Were the same moon clips used for both?

Yes, they were from Revolver Supply. I'm going to stick with Federal primers anyhow because they are softer, but may try a back primed with CCI later on just to see if it happens again.
