I emailed S&W looking for a slide stop for my model46, I figured the model41 slidestop would fit but they simply said "sorry sir it will not." Thats it no advice no support whatsoever. Anyway does any one know if the model 41 stop will fit or not? or where to get one for a model46?
thanks bobc

Don't feel bad about them, it just depends who answer your question. I have emailed them several times and got great reply. Anyhow I think they have to answer thousands email everyday. I suggest call them directly.

I called S&W about a stock pin for my 686. The gentleman asked how many I wanted and I said just 'one' and explained I wanted to switch my grips to Pachmayrs from the factory Hogues. I told him that I was willing to pay for it. He told me not to worry about and sent it out to me at no charge. I got it within a week. S&W are pretty good in my books. :)

Anyhow, I thought the Model 46 was the exact same pistol as the Model 41 except for the finish (much like the Model 27 and Model 28 revolvers), just slightly 'dressed down'. Numrich has them for about 38 dollars US. There's another store that sells it for a few dollars more and they list it for either the 41 or 46. Don't take my word for it. Here's their web addy. Cut and paste into a browser window to see it.
